Cultural Talks are implemented with the aim of developing a community awareness to gain recognition and respect for the Aboriginal cultural heritage of the region to inform students and the general public of, and respect for, the Island’s unique Aboriginal culture.

The Cultural Talks are delivered by Aunty Margaret Iselin, an Elder from M.M.E.I.C who has a great wealth of knowledge of the local culture and tradition passed down through the generations. The majority of groups that attend the talks are from Primary and Secondary Schools and Educational Institutions. These groups are indigenous and non-indigenous people with immense interest in seeking knowledge and understanding of our Aboriginal culture.
