The NSIYSJWG is committed to healing our community\u2019s intergenerational trauma.<\/p>\n<p>The NSIYSJWG include a wide range of contributors working collaboratively via a MoU. This includes:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li data-charcodes=\"9642\" data-font=\"Noto Sans Symbols,Sans-Serif\" data-buautonum=\"8\" data-margin=\"365\" data-aria-posinset=\"1\" data-aria-level=\"1\">MMEIC (as lead)<\/li>\n<li data-charcodes=\"9642\" data-font=\"Noto Sans Symbols,Sans-Serif\" data-buautonum=\"8\" data-margin=\"365\" data-aria-posinset=\"4\" data-aria-level=\"1\">Redland City Council&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li data-charcodes=\"9642\" data-font=\"Noto Sans Symbols,Sans-Serif\" data-buautonum=\"8\" data-margin=\"365\" data-aria-posinset=\"1\" data-aria-level=\"1\">Community members (including Indigenous and non-Indigenous)<\/li>\n<li data-charcodes=\"9642\" data-font=\"Noto Sans Symbols,Sans-Serif\" data-buautonum=\"8\" data-margin=\"365\" data-aria-posinset=\"3\" data-aria-level=\"1\">Schools from the Quandamooka Region<\/li>\n<li data-charcodes=\"9642\" data-font=\"Noto Sans Symbols,Sans-Serif\" data-buautonum=\"8\" data-margin=\"365\" data-aria-posinset=\"4\" data-aria-level=\"1\">Queensland Government Departments (including Health, Youth Justice, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander&nbsp;Partnerships, the Police)&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li data-charcodes=\"9642\" data-font=\"Noto Sans Symbols,Sans-Serif\" data-buautonum=\"8\" data-margin=\"365\" data-aria-posinset=\"5\" data-aria-level=\"1\">First Nations led organisations (Yulu-Burri-Ba, COOEE First&nbsp;Nations Family and Community Education&nbsp;Centre, Goompi Give and Grow)&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li data-charcodes=\"9642\" data-font=\"Noto Sans Symbols,Sans-Serif\" data-buautonum=\"8\" data-margin=\"365\" data-aria-posinset=\"6\" data-aria-level=\"1\">Straddie&nbsp;Chamber of Commerce&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li data-charcodes=\"9642\" data-font=\"Noto Sans Symbols,Sans-Serif\" data-buautonum=\"8\" data-margin=\"365\" data-aria-posinset=\"7\" data-aria-level=\"1\">Non-government organisations (Justice&nbsp;Reform initiative, YMCA &amp; Headspace)<\/li>\n<li data-charcodes=\"9642\" data-font=\"Noto Sans Symbols,Sans-Serif\" data-buautonum=\"8\" data-margin=\"365\" data-aria-posinset=\"8\" data-aria-level=\"1\">Academics &amp; PhD students<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Youth social and emotional wellbeing is strengthened&nbsp;through the reinvigoration of&nbsp;Quandamooka&nbsp;Cultural Protocols&nbsp;by allowing positive connections&nbsp;and relationship building with&nbsp;Elders. This occurs through our Youth Holiday Program where&nbsp;Elders&nbsp;distill&nbsp;their ways of knowing,&nbsp;being and doing to our youth,&nbsp;our future Elders, and by doing&nbsp;so, encourage self-pride and self-worth.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The NSISYJWG are also developing culturally based models to support and promote life&nbsp;promotion and belonging and&nbsp;increase self-value and worth in&nbsp;Quandamooka&nbsp;youth &#8211; who are&nbsp;at the centre of everything we&nbsp;do.<\/p>\n<p>MMEIC and the NSISYJWG are working on the development of Justice Re-Investment initiatives. Good Jobs: Queensland Workforce Strategy 2022\u20132032.&nbsp;<\/i><\/p>\n<p>Key an eye on our MMEIC Facebook Page for School to Work Program highlights and deliverables.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>MMEIC are working in partnership with socially responsible businesses to provide meaningful career paths, training and employment for our Mob. Please get in touch if you are interested in partnering with MMEIC to build a successful well supported First Nations employment and\/or training program.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>As an example of what we do; MMEIC have partnered with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ams.group\/\">AMS Group<\/a>, co-designing a reconciliation initiative to employ 40 young Goenpul, Ngugi and Noonuccal People (across a ten-year commitment) throughout the waterways of Moreton Bay. The first group of four employees commenced in June 2022 and have now all&nbsp; completed their national maritime accreditation.
